The Greater Cleveland Marketing Alliance, was formed in late 2005 to drive strategic, long-term marketing of the Greater Cleveland area. Its goal is to coordinate, communicate and leverage current marketing efforts and to provide foundational, image-raising marketing materials and programs that supplement the programs of others.
As a foundation to this work, the GCMA and Marcus Thomas conducted several research studies to assess current perceptions of the region locally and nationally as well as to to gather ideas and input about how the region should be marketed and to establish a benchmark to measure our impact.
