"I'm nobody's messenger boy. I'm a delivery boy."  Shrek

Thinks Creatively

"Media – the how-and-where-we-reach-people part of this business – has gotten insanely big and complicated. Channels are limitless. And we're reinventing them every day."

Risks Intelligently

"Big wins sometimes require a little roller coaster riding. You have to be willing to stick your neck out, take some chances. The best rides are the ones with the client sitting right next to us, hands in the air."

Works Passionately

"We may not be saving lives, but we're on call 24-7. We can't take our eyes off our clients' brands for a minute. Not in today's environment."

More about Mark

Self-proclaimed square, father of four, brother to 11, and serial student of his craft (don't let him hear you call it advertising). Likes to play devil's advocate – but only to get to a better solution. Or so he says. We wonder sometimes.

Likes theatrics, complicated dashboards, pretty charts and graphs, and playing with his phone – which is why he's the new business guy. Mark's also responsible for all things media and interactive. So he's pretty busy. He's probably put in 45 years during the last 27. That may explain the hair thing.

Crazy about his clients. Past and present. Bridgestone/Firestone, Camelot, Goodyear, IBM, Johnsonite, NESTLÉ, Step2 … all of them. But he's not a stalker. Really. They all come to understand that eventually.

Loves this quote he learned from his mom: De gustibus non disputandum. (Translation: In matters of taste, there can be no dispute.) It's cuz it's Latin. What can we say? De gustibus non disputandum.

Drove to Alaska to camp on Homer Spit and catch some halibut. Mark does a lot of fishing. It's a good thing.
