"The well bred contradict other people. The wise contradict themselves." Oscar Wilde
Thinks Creatively
"My last really cool idea came from a fly."
Risks Intelligently
"Truth trumps. It not only makes for a better story, speech and headline, it makes for better relationships. And a little honesty can turn a potential crisis into a brand-building opportunity. I'm all for taking risks when integrity is in tow."
Works Passionately
"Call me old-fashioned or mentally off balance or whatever you will, but I'm in love with the written word. Words are amazing. They're transporting. And scary powerful. Sans the clichés and acronyms; I'm talking real words. I'll fight ‘til the death for them."
More about Beth
Credits her dad, the grocer, for her entrepreneurial spirit and her Lab and Golden for getting her up and going in the morning. Our opinion? The dogs are dropping the ball.
Accepts that social means never turning off your phone. Ever. Seriously, EVER. Says she dreams now in 140 characters or less. Still whines, though, for the good old days and … did she say quill pen?
Is a born-again fitness freak. A walk or run is her solution for any problem. But, curiously, considers red wine one of the four major food groups.
Can't quite figure out the golf thing, but manages to stay happily married to her single-digit-handicap husband. Claims she can't get better at golf because she's joined too many boards and committees. Truth is, she joins committees because she stinks at golf.
Once jumped over a wall and past security guards on Red Square flashing fake ABC credentials – pre-Perestroika. She called it an adventure. We'd call it something else. But we like that Beth is always up for the next big challenge.
