News this weekend that Amazon is testing 30-minute package delivery using drones has people all over the world doing two things this morning: 1) crowning Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos a genius (again), and 2) pondering all the bad things that could result from thousands of autonomous mechanical birds buzzing overhead.
According to Bezos, going live with the drones could take more than five years, but five years flies by (no pun intended) when you're in business.
With the air war coming soon, what should marketers be thinking about now to prepare?
1. How does instant delivery disrupt my position?
2. How can I leverage Amazon's advantage to my advantage?
3. How does instant play into the whole concept of fresh?
What are your thoughts?
